Press Release Author: Author: Wayne Sharrocks / Publisher: Pegasus Elliot Mackenzie

Industry: Media

Press Release Summary: Dominion by Wayne Sharrocks.

\'Dominion\' is the follow up to \'Redemption\', Wayne\'s debut novel, which was
nominated for both The Guardian First Book Award & The McKitterick Prize.

\'It\'s a tight, tension-building tale that provides both psychological insight as
well as a thought provoking read...\'

SYNOPSIS:
Scarred by childhood trauma and neglect, Karl Connor attempted to flee the dark
shadows of his young life, the horrors that he had experienced, and the inner demons
that continued to haunt him.

As the past and present collide the brutal reality is that the long slide into
violence has already begun, but who could have imagined that his desire
for perceived vengeance would have such terrifying results.

Young women are being murdered in London suburbs and there is seemingly nothing to
connect them to one another, let alone the killer whose charming manner hides a
warped and sick mind.

Detective Inspector Ross is determined to hunt the killer down, jeopardising his
career in the process, as he becomes increasingly alienated and obsessed with
finding the murderer.

It is a difficult time for him and his depleted team as they find themselves caught
up in Karl\'s deadly game of ruthless vendetta and vengeful murders. Soon their lives
begin to run on a parallel, which leaves one of his team in mortal danger.

General Background

The Pegasus Elliot MacKenzie Ltd publishing house has established roots in the
historic City of Cambridge. Over many past years it has produced the books of gifted
authors from all over the UK and world-wide.

Who We Publish

Currently, much of the book publishing by larger publishers only relates to
established writers and those with celebrity status whereas Pegasus, whilst
accounting for the effects of this trend, also produces the work of first-time
authors.

Being an independent, traditional publisher specialising in quality literature and
non-fiction books, the Company numbers amongst its authors those with diverse and
excitingly new talents which Pegasus is dedicated to encouraging and promoting.

Our publishing house concentrates - for adult and child readers - on the best
fiction created by authors from many different parts of the world. They often
contribute fascinating details with their diverse talents and use material and
experiences from their unusual, exciting backgrounds.

Alongside such celebrities as, for example, the many talented writers whose work is
currently acclaimed, we have, some well-known newscasters, the author of a highly
popular TV series, an acknowledged martial arts expert, a specialist in English
spelling, and a popular gardener. Not only do we publish successful first-time
authors from this country but we have many from all over the world.

Benefits

All our authors benefit from the technological advances in the field of publishing
that Pegasus has adopted. This is, of course, using modern methods of production of
the books as well as creating and using computerised advanced techniques as an
integral part of our extensive support for our authors\' books. Therefore, we ensure
we employ fully coloured, specially designed covers which create the necessary
visual impact on the would-be reader.

What Titles are published

a) Fiction
Our wide range of genre published and currently accepted for consideration, covers
many topics such as crime, children\'s, adventure books, romance, historical fiction,
(see also the full range of classifications available from Nielsen Book Services)

b) Non Fiction
Pegasus and its imprints also publish non-fiction books with extensive lists to
cover a wide-ranging choice of subjects. Topics are diverse - biographies, health
and fitness, gardening, sport, educational needs, hobbies, and we publish titles
that deal with current needs in the fields of literacy, history, science, self-help
works such as Mind Body and Spirit, self-healing, and philosophy. (Please also see
other classifications of genre listed on this website and under the various
Imprints.)

c) Educational Specialisms
We also accept pre-school books and we publish these in attractive, bright colours
that encourages interaction between the reader and the topic. This appeals to the
reading public of all ages.

Our Reputation

Creating and maintaining a strong reputation and using the latest techniques -
Because we consider for publication the work of authors on such a wide range of
genre, and select these on the merit of the topic and the writing, the main
publishing house has developed over the years an impressive and lengthy list of
books. This fact has attracted widespread interest and support from authors, and the
publishing business press. Each author is deservedly highlighted on our website in
sequence once their books have been published. Those currently in print are listed
fully on our website. We maintain this facility alongside our other marketing
strategies to enhance the public awareness of new authors\' books.

Included are novels with a compelling, unusual and challenging story line, a number
of books of humour and human interest, a very strong non-fiction portfolio, popular
reference titles, together with books from established and previously published
authors.

We particularly give consideration to manuscripts submitted by well-known figures in
the public arena. Some of these are not quite famous enough yet to be snapped up by
the largest publishing houses but have produced a very readable and well-researched
book. Many find that their careers benefit from having had a book published recently
and the fact of their names being in print maintains that each celebrity concerned
is more relevant subsequently to the public.
